Freestyle and Moves Practice Ice

The Bourne Skating Club offers practice ice to its members on a regular basis annually from September through June (Gallo is usually closed in May). Ice is available in July and August pending the Gallo Ice Rink schedule. Each session is limited to 24 skaters on the ice at a time, and there are sometimes requirements as to skill level.  Please refer to the contract ice form below for specific times and requirements.

If you wish to become a member and have not already, please fill out a

 in order to be included on the club membership roster.

Please note:  The Bourne Skating Club will not be purchasing contract freestyle/MIF ice at other arenas while the Gallo Ice Arena is closed in April/May.

WALK-ON POLICY

  • Walk on ice may be purchased during the club’s ice times.

  • Any open spaces may be filled at the beginning of the session.

  • Payment must be received prior to skating (no exceptions).

  • Skater must check in with ice monitor.

  • First Come, first served: 

    • Full club members have priority

    • Associate members have 2nd priority

    • Beginner members have 3rd priority

    • Non-members will be accepted only after all BSC members have been accommodated and must show their USFS card before getting onto the ice.

 

WALK-ON FEES

$20 / 50 minute Freestyle

$15 / 30 minute Moves

(The above prices are for all walk-ons without cards)

MAKE UP POLICY

 

·         Make-ups will be permitted within the session the contracted ice was purchased with the only exception being the last week of a session.

Examples:

ACCEPTABLE:  Fall make-up in Fall Session

NOT ACCEPTABLE:  Winter make-up in the Spring Session (*Exception Below)

ACCEPTABLE:  I missed my contracted ice the last week of the fall session; I’ll make it up in the winter.

 

·         Make-ups are only allowed the week after you miss a session.

Examples:

ACCEPTABLE:  I missed last Wednesday, I’ll make up this Friday.

NOT ACCEPTABLE:  I’m going to be out next week, I’ll make-up now.

 

·         At the end of the week (Fridays), Melissa will create a list of skaters who missed a session.  This list will be in the ice monitors book on Monday for skater’s use these sessions as “walk-ons make-ups” when space is available on a session.
